At the Advanced Propulsion and Power Lab, multiple research projects funded by the Navy, Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney are converging, addressing the ways sand and dusts can damage turbine engines. The research is an interdisciplinary effort between students and faculty in aerospace engineering and geosciences. Ultimately, the goal is to increase the resilience and sustainability of aerospace propulsion systems.
