The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute holds a ribbon cutting to open its new Rural Roadway test track.  The roadway tests vehicles and automation in a rural setting to better understand roads that are off the beaten path.
World track where we stand now, first testbed of its time. It's built to accommodate advanced vehicles and automation vehicle testing in a rural setting. We opened up a new chapter really for for DTI to ensure that the vehicles of the future or prepare for the roads that serve rural areas. One of the things we see today is this divide between urban and rural and and in this, in your own way at the TDI is bridging that divide. This is another potent reminder that taught everything we do as a LED, LED granting institution at Virginia Tech, really not just contributing to our understanding, to the scholarship, to a basic understanding of how the world works, but really, where, what do we do? Improving the quality of the life, love in the Commonwealth.
