Jennifer Gerhards, a transfer student, came to Virginia Tech to study Agribusiness. Her dream is to grow crops on big city rooftops. She's making the most of her time here at Virginia Tech.
[00:00:00] >> My name is Jennifer Gerhards, I majored in agribusiness with a minor in horticulture, I'm a transfer student and a first-generation. As a Hokie, you kind of have that mentality of how can I make the future better for not only myself, but just future generations to come, so I think hydroponics embodies that. [00:00:16] I wasn't a freshman here, I wasn't a sophomore, I didn't have that dorm experience, but I think that knowing that I only had two years here, I made it so important to do as much as I can with the time I have. I 100 percent want to be an industry leader someday and definitely want to be involved with Virginia Tech, they have done so much for me for the year and a half I've been here.
