The next art show at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine will feature six decades of work by acclaimed artist Jane Lillian Vance. This Artist Spotlight explores her motivations, ideology, and reasoning behind holding an art show of this magnitude at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Described as “painted journalism,” the exhibits will include extraordinary works from Vance’s travels in the name of hope and healing to Africa and South Asia as well as her efforts as Vice President of the national non-profit Help Save the Next Girl.
