Three Virginia Tech alumni, Kevin Stephenson '18, Danielle Jeffers '19, and Corey Hackett-Greene '17, got together to give back to their communities in the way of school supplies and teacher appreciation gifts. The "In My Bag" Tour will benefit 500 students and 200 teachers in Danville, Virginia, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. And it's only the beginning.

[00:00:00] >> Who wants a bookbag, here we go, too many options [LAUGH]. We are here to do a school supply giveaway for teachers and students. It's the In My Bag tour, we are all Virginia Tech graduates, all Hokies. We just want to give back to our hometowns so we're starting in my hometown of Danville, Virginia. [00:00:18] This is so much more than just come and get your bookbag and have a good school year, it's so much more than just thank you to teachers, have a good school year. People here have given so much to me, I wanted to give back to my city for a long time. [00:00:29] We have decided to be able to give back over 500 book bags and 200 teacher appreciation gifts to Danville, Virginia, and also Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is aspired to be bigger than us. My experience at Virginia Tech showed me how important it is to give, that should be the first thing on your mind, because it's better to give than it is to receive. [00:00:49] And so this is a exercise of our faith, but most importantly Ut Prosim. 1-2-3, Virginia Tech! We look forward to expanding next year and obviously beyond that but we are super excited to start within our hometowns. Who knows where we will be next year, but I know we'll definitely be ain somebody's hometown.
