[00:00:13] >> I'm Heather Massie and I grew up in Blacksburg, Virginia. So this project is the first time that I have become a playwright and also a producer. It became that I wanted to find a woman in science to feature in a solo-play, Hedy Lamarr was suggested to me. [00:00:31] We recognize that your invention paved the way for modern communication. Hedy is interacting and telling her story directly to the audience. Because I wanted to make it more alive and more immediate for the audience and for Hedy, I also play all the other characters in her story. Probably a total of 35 in the full version of the play. [00:00:57] So the mission of the piece really is to inspire audiences to find ways to make the world a better place also to encourage young women in science and technology and to establish Hedy Lamarr as a role model for intelligence ingenuity and invention.
