Mentorship. Community. Opportunity. These are the words recent Hokie grad and new biomedical engineering Ph.D. alumna Nora Hlavac '18 uses to describe her time at Virginia Tech. She's excited about pursuing a career in academia that will allow her to combine her two passions of teaching and research. Her next stop is the the University of Florida, where she'll continue her research on central nervous system injury and repair.
