The sections of the new Southgate Interchange bridges were installed the week of July 10. According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the remaining three sections were installed Tuesday night through Friday morning.

Detours were set overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. along U.S. 460 in order to complete the work.
