The Challenges for Scholars of Academic Research on Black Voter Suppression

During this virtual event in the Research Integrity and Scholarly Excellence Lecture Series, Sharon Austin, professor of political science at the University of Florida, will discuss her research on Black voter suppression in the state of Florida. She will also discuss the challenges and obstacles for scholars examining issues concerning race and voting, her research, and state government attempts to prohibit discussions about racial voting behavior and racial issues.
