International students are invited to participate in a research study

International students at Virginia Tech are being invited to take part in a research study designed to investigate the impact of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) workshops on faculty development in higher education. 

Research study participation details

  • This study is open to international students at Virginia Tech.
  • Students must be 18 years or older to participate in this study.
  • A Google form survey will be used to collect student perspectives on their learning experiences at Virginia Tech.
  • Survey results with non-identifiable information will be shared with faculty participants taking a UDL training program.
  • The survey will take 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Students who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing for one of ten $30 gift cards as compensation for their time and effort.

There are no risks associated with participation in this study. Participation in this survey is voluntary. Students may decline to participate without penalty. Participants may withdraw at any time without penalty. No reference will be made to participants in written reports that could link them to the study.
