Apply for Virginia's extended child care subsidy
From: Early Childhood Education Initiatives
Need help with the cost of child care? If you have at least one child who hasn’t started kindergarten yet, you may qualify for Virginia’s expanded Child Care Subsidy Program, which has been extended through May 31, 2022.
Financial help is available to families whose income is below 85 percent of the state median income — for instance, a family of four earning $7,412 a month. Job seekers with older children can also qualify for help, and your current child care provider may already be a vendor for the program.
