Apply by Sept. 27 for Diversity and Inclusion Seed Investments
Awards support partnerships with HBCUs and MSIs
ICTAS is soliciting proposals for its Diversity and Inclusion Seed Investments program, which funds collaborations between Virginia Tech faculty and faculty at HBCUs, MSIs, or related programs. The awards are intended to establish long-term direct faculty partnerships with the goal of generating future joint publications and proposals.
ICTAS plans to award approximately 15 two-year awards of $10,000 per year ($20,000 total), with funding anticipated to begin Oct. 29, 2021. Funds may be used to cover Virginia Tech faculty/student travel, student wages, GRAs, and supplies and materials used to further the partnership. Awardees are expected to present at the poster session at the HBCU-MSI Summit poster session the year following their initial award.
One-page proposals, including a proposed budget, are due by Sept. 27, 2021. More details are available on the ICTAS website.
Proposals, as well as any questions or concerns, should be submitted to Chris Tysor, ICTAS Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator; firstname.lastname@example.org.
