Funding available to support commercialization of autonomous systems

From: The Commonwealth Center for Innovation in Autonomous Systems

The Commonwealth Center for Innovation in Autonomous Systems (C2IAS), a collaboration between Virginia Tech and Old Dominion University, accelerates the commercialization of autonomous systems technology and its transition into the marketplace. For the last several years, the center has provided pre-seed funding for projects led by university faculty, or by university faculty in partnership with a Virginia business.

In calendar year 2022, C2IAS intends to fund five to ten projects at a level of approximately $50,000 each. Projects should have clear business objectives achievable during the one-year funding period. Two-page whitepapers describing the proposed project are due by 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1. Details and application instructions are available at this link
