Student research funding available through the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology

The Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (ICAT) is accepting applications for its Roger and Debbie West Student SEAD Grants, which support projects that leverage the combined strengths of science, engineering, art, and design to tackle real-world challenges.
ICAT will award five, $1,000 student grants for the 2021-2022 academic year and is looking for proposals that involve one or more of the research themes represented by the institute:
- Designing a More Sustainable World
- Empowering Data
- Making Big Discoveries with Immersive Technologies
- Amplifying the Arts
- Engaging Community
- Reimagining Education
- Bridging Physical Distance
- Creating the Future of Work
Research teams must be comprised of students from at least two different colleges, and one team member must represent arts and/or design. If two team members are from the same college they must be from different departments within that college.
Applications must be submitted by Oct. 8, 2021. Find more information about the funding and submission details online.
