Stay vigilant, practice self care to keep pandemic fatigue at bay
From: University Relations
Navigating a pandemic is really difficult, especially when we’re trying our best to defeat COVID-19. Also called COVID fatigue, the weariness is something we all feel in our own ways. The stress can be prolonged and intense, the exhaustion real, the loneliness profound.
Those feelings, if left unchecked, may cause us to grow tired of being careful and following the public health guidelines that have helped to stem the spread of the disease. But for our own health and the health of those around us, we must remain vigilant. We must join together to limit the spread of COVID-19.
If you’re feeling pandemic fatigue, it's a normal reaction. Find a way to pamper yourself while still staying safe. Take a walk outside. Call a friend. Watch a great movie. Play with a pet. Play a video game. Be creative!
