Memorial 5K to be held in honor of Bob and Sue Duncan
15th Annual Bob Duncan Memorial 5k in 2022

From: College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine
The Bob and Sue Duncan Memorial 5K will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 1.
The Duncan 5K is a race in honor of the late Bob Duncan, an associate professor in the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine who passed away in 2007. Bob Duncan was an avid runner, dedicated pathologist, and highly regarded teacher.
In his memory, the late Sue Duncan, Bob’s wife, and the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine’s Department of Biomedical Sciences & Pathobiology established a scholarship fund to support a fourth-year student who shows interest in the field of veterinary pathology. Every penny raised from the 5K goes toward the scholarship.
On October 12, 2022, his wife, Sue Duncan, an ebullient and well-respected leader, professor, and researcher in the Virginia Tech College of Agriculture and Life Sciences for more than 32 years, passed away suddenly. This year, the memorial 5K honors both Bob and Sue Duncan.
