Quillen Family Spirit Plaza construction and Dietrick Hall renovations to begin March 7

From: the Division of Campus Planning, Infrastructure, and Facilities

To accommodate the Quillen Family Spirit Plaza and Dietrick Hall renovations capital construction project, Branch Builds, the construction contractor, is anticipated to mobilize the week of March 7, 2022.

Immediate impacts include: fencing and materials staging throughout the majority of the plaza.

Entrances to Dietrick Hall will be initially impacted, however in future months as construction progresses, there will be adjustments that will be shared via VTx.

Dietrick Hall's renovations will support Dining Services continued and expanded service to the university community.

Services in D2, Deet's Place, DXpress, and Xpress Lane will not be impacted in the spring 2022 semester. To accommodate renovations, services provided on the facility's first floor will be delayed in fall 2022 semester. More information will be shared via VTx.

There will be varying impacts to Dietrick Hall's first floor interior and exterior seating throughout the course of the project.

Accessible pedestrian routes to the facility will adapted throughout different phases of the construction process. Directional signage will be installed to assist in navigation.

The map below provides pedestrian routing expectations in the early phase of the project. Updates to accessible pedestrian pathways will be highlighted in the Campus Closures Map
