Mail Services and Package PickUPP updates

Virginia Tech Mail Services and Package PickUPP is currently experiencing an especially high volume of packages arriving on campus. Students are strongly encouraged to pick up their packages as soon as they receive their delivery email from Package PickUPP. It may take up to 3-5 days to receive a PickUPP notification upon the package’s arrival at Mail Services. 

Students must wait to receive an email notification before visiting Owens or the Graduate Life Center to pick up packages. Please also consider purchasing toiletries and other non-essential items locally while Mail Services works through the backlog.

For expedited delivery of medications, medical devices, perishable foods, and important documents, please use the form here. The form should ONLY be used for these purposes.

Package retrieval hours:

Owens Hall Room 23:
Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: Closed

Graduate Life Center Package PickUPP:
Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: Closed

• Where to pick up: The notification email will direct students to retrieve their packages at a specific location: Owens Hall Room 23 or the Graduate Life Center. PickUPP.

• Addressing mail: 
  • How to address packages and mail:
    • Student’s full name
    • Residential hall name, Rm XXXX
    • Street number and street address
    • Blacksburg, VA 24061- (+ four codes specific to each building)

• Packages will be returned to the sender after 7 days if not picked up.
