Blacksburg Transit Multi-Modal Transit Facility: Perry Street Garage ADA parking, Hokie Bike Hub impacts

Ongoing parking and pedestrian impacts remain in and around the Perry Street region because of the construction of the Blacksburg Transit Multi-Modal Transit Facility.

As construction impacts may change, and plans are altered, please visit the Campus Closures Map often for the latest updates. Road closures are also updated in Waze and Google Maps.

Utility work impacts: Perry Street Garage

To accommodate electric line installation for the Blacksburg Transit Multi-Modal Transit Facility, beginning as early as April 4, ADA parking spaces within the Perry Street Garage will be temporarily moved from their current location (side of the facility closest to the Data and Decision Sciences capital project) to the opposite side of the garage (side of the facility closest to Goodwin Hall).

The number of available spaces will remain the same and similar access to elevators will be maintained. Directional signage will be in place to assist with navigation.

This temporary relocation will last approximately one month.

Also during this time, to accommodate the electric line installation, the exterior entrance to the Hokie Bike Hub will be closed for approximately two weeks. The Hokie Bike Hub can be accessed from the interior entrance near the Perry Street Garage stairwell.

Questions may be directed to Paul Ely at paulely@vt.edu or (540) 231-3689.
