Professional development conference materials available for employees

From: Human Resources and TLOS

The Professional Development Community of Practice, in collaboration with Human Resources Talent Development and Technology-Enhanced Learning and Online Strategies (TLOS) held their first professional development conference on May 4 for Virginia Tech faculty and staff. Nearly 300 employees attended sessions throughout the day both in person and online via Zoom.

The conference theme was "Using Your Talents for Influencing Change and Solving Wicked Problems” and offered 21 sessions that covered six tracks including accessibility, engagement, leading where you are, resources, shared governance, and technology.

For conference attendees and for employees who were unable to attend that day, recorded sessions and materials are available to view and download until June 2, at 5 p.m.

  • For attendees, use your confirmation ticket to log back into the conference site to view sessions and download materials.
  • Other employees may register to access the materials. Sign into Zoom using your Virginia Tech ID and password to complete registration. Once registered, you will receive a confirmation ticket that will also allow you access to the sessions and materials.
