COVID bivalent booster vaccination clinic scheduled for Jan. 19

The best defense against COVID-19 is to be vaccinated and receive boosters. That’s why Virginia Tech encourages all members of our community to get their COVID vaccination and boosters.

Hokie Wellness will offer an employee COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccination clinic Thursday, Jan. 19, 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the North End Center, room 2410. Both Pfizer and Moderna shots will be available. The bivalent booster offers protection from delta and omicron variants of the virus.

Registration is required and there are a limited number of spots.

Eligibility:

  • Pfizer’s COVID-19 bivalent vaccine is authorized for use in individuals 5 years and older.
  • Moderna’s COVID-19 bivalent vaccine is authorized for use in individuals 6 years and older.

Please bring the following documents to your appointment:

  • A completed copy of the immunization form. A link to the form available upon registration.
  • Your COVID-19 vaccination card.
  • A photocopy of your insurance card.

Employees may get vaccinated during work hours; please work with your supervisor with regard to scheduling questions.

Students are encouraged to receive their bivalent booster by scheduling an appointment with Schiffert by calling 540-231-6444.

If you are unable to make it to this clinic, vaccinations are also available at most local pharmacies and through health care providers. Visit Vaccinate Virginia for COVID-19 vaccination and booster sites in the commonwealth.
