From: Office of University Scholarships and Financial Aid

Hokies! There are a few days remaining for you to complete a free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and General Scholarship Application for next year. Do not delay and do not lose out on scholarships for next year.

The deadline is Sunday, Jan. 22, and you have to complete both the FAFSA and General Scholarship Application for maximum financial aid and scholarship consideration. After you complete the General Scholarship Application in Scholarship Central, you can also apply to other scholarships for which you may be eligible. Scholarship Central is a great resource.

University Scholarships and Financial Aid sends financial aid and scholarship notifications in early June. Renewable scholarships require the respective year's FAFSA to be filed by the priority deadline of March 1st. If a student wishes to maintain scholarship renewal and be considered for the General Scholarship Application, the January 22nd deadline takes precedence.
