Applications now open for medical school's Early Identification Program

Applications are being accepted for the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine's Early Identification Program. Undergraduate students who are underrepresented in medicine can apply to gain research and clinical experience to prepare them for medical school.

Program Requirements:

  1. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
  2. Be sophomores or juniors in good academic and professional standing.
  3. Demonstrate and maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
  4. Have completed one year of biology and/or one year of chemistry with lab.
  5. Express a sincere interest in medicine.

Application Requirements

  1. A completed online application.
  2. A copy of their transcript.
  3. Two professional references, including one from a science faculty member.
