Blacksburg campus COVID-19 testing information for summer 2022

From: Schiffert Health Center

Where can I get a COVID-19 test?

Voluntary PCR testing is available for employees and students who are non-symptomatic.

  • Symptomatic students should schedule a visit with the Schiffert Health Center (540-231-6444)
  • Symptomatic employees should contact their local health care provider, VDH, or a local urgent care facility.

Tests can be scheduled through VT Notify for the Blacksburg campus testing site. Testing appointments can also be scheduled at certain pharmacies and urgent care facilities throughout Virginia for employees and students.

With an appointment, you may walk-in to the self-testing location on the Blacksburg campus during the hours of operation on your appointment date.

Testing locations on the Blacksburg campus (beginning Monday, May 16):

  • Schiffert Health Center - Room 224: Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Please check VTNotify for any operational changes.

Test results take 48 business hours to return but may take up to 72 hours. Negative results will be notified through VTNotify. Positive results will be notified by a case manager.

Please note, because of ongoing construction on the Blacksburg campus, refer to the Campus Closures Map and Google or Waze for the latest road interruptions to plan your route.

If you need to reschedule your appointment, log back into VTNotify to cancel and reschedule your appointment date.

You MUST bring your Hokie Passport to your appointment to check-in.
