Nominations open for staff positions in shared governance

A hallmark of the shared governance system at Virginia Tech is that it truly is shared. Faculty, A/P faculty, staff, graduate and professional students, and undergraduate students all have seats on University Council and on the various commissions and committees. To make the system work, the Staff Senate has a commitment to elect and nominate staff senators and staff members to fill those seats. The list of open seats is on the Staff Senate website. Nominations are also be accepted for Staff Senate officer positions.

If you cannot access the link, please email Judy Taylor (email@example.com) to receive a nomination form by email. Nominations must be submitted by May 24 by 5:00 p.m. All nominees will be contacted by email with additional information. Elections will be held electronically by the Staff Senate with a closing date of June 1 at 5 p.m. Terms begin on July 1, 2022, and are three years in duration unless otherwise stated.
