As a reminder, the following child care information sessions provide great information.

Choosing Quality Child Care Workshop

This workshop is presented by Child Care Aware of Western Virginia and held the first Friday of each month at 9 a.m. Complete this form to register for an upcoming workshop.

Attendees will learn the following:

  • What is quality child care and how to find it.
  • What to look for in a child care provider.
  • How to determine what type of care would work best for your family.
  • Financial assistance options for child care.

NRV Cares Lunch and Learns

In partnership with Child Care Aware of Western Virginia, NRV Cares offers monthly lunch and learns with varying topics. Lunch and learns are held noon – 1 p.m. via Zoom.

Following is a list of upcoming dates and topics. Complete this form to register for one or more lunch and learns.

  • April 21 – Power of encouragement vs. praise
  • May 19 – Cultivating Cooperation
