COVID vaccination booster clinic updates; walk-ins welcome on Jan. 25

From: Hokie Wellness

Hokie Wellness and Virginia Tech’s Office of Emergency Management are partnering with Kroger to offer a COVID booster clinic on Tuesday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Blacksburg campus. The clinic will be held at the Rec Sports Fieldhouse located at 510 Beamer Way.

The clinic is open to all students and employees, including faculty, staff, and wage. In addition, family and friends who may need the booster are welcome to attend. No registration is required; boosters will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Pfizer boosters will be avaiable for children 12 and up. No pediatric doses for children under 12 will be offered at this clinic.

The majority of boosters available at the clinics will be Pfizer; some Moderna will be available. You may request their preferred booster the day of the clinic and Kroger will accommodate if possible.

As detailed in Presidential Policy Memorandum 320, the university is requiring that students upload verfication of a COVID-19 booster within 14 days of eligibility. If you have received a booster, click here for instructions and to report booster information. If you are not eligible yet, please schedule your booster as soon as you are able to do so.

Virginia Tech continues to strongly encourage all employees to be vaccinated and get a booster as soon as they are eligible. Vaccines, including boosters, remain our best protection against COVID-19 and are especially important for public health. While reporting booster information is not required, employees may voluntarily record booster information to the university. Click here for instructions and to record booster information.
