Virginia Tech research study seeks NRV and Roanoke area drivers with newer vehicles

The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute is looking for Virginia drivers to participate in a research study where they drive their own vehicles equipped with newer technologies! (IRB #19-445)

  • Do you drive one of the following vehicles?
    • 2021-2022 Escalade or Cadillac Sedan
    • 2018-2022 Cadillac CT6
    • 2020-2022 Ford Explorer
    • 2021-2022 Ford F-150
    • 2019-2022 Nissan Armada
    • 2020-2022 Nissan Altima, Rogue, Ariya, or Leaf
    • 2020-2022 Tesla 3 or S model
  • Does your vehicle have the following features?
    • Lane Control - automatically keeps the vehicle in the lane?
    • Adaptive Cruise Control - maintains set speed, but also automatically slows with traffic?

If so, you may be eligible to participate in the “ADAS” naturalistic driving study focused on how people drive and interact with newer technology such as advanced driver assistance systems or ADAS.

The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute will compensate study drivers $50 per month, with total maximum compensation of $750.

Estimated participation time is 12 months. All data will be kept strictly confidential.
