Call for nominations: Alumni Award for Research Excellence

From: The Office for Research and Innovation

Established by the Alumni Association in 1975 for the purpose of promoting research, the Office for Research and Innovation requests nominations for the Alumni Award for Research Excellence.

Individuals or research teams who have reached a level of research achievement within the university are eligible. Researchers or research teams who have demonstrated excellence in the performance of diligent research, studious inquiry, exhaustive investigation, having as its aim the discovery of new facts, and their correct interpretation, the revision of accepted conclusions, theories or laws in light of newly discovered facts or the practical application of such new or revised conclusions, theories, or laws.

Please note: individuals who were nominated the previous year will automatically be considered for the award again this year by the committee if dossiers are complete.

Up to two awards, one in each category (science or engineering and social sciences, humanities, or arts) and no more than one awardee from a single major unit (college or institute) will be awarded.

Nominations are due by close of business on Nov. 12, 2021.
