Native Japanese participants needed for smartphone app testing

The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI) is seeking volunteers to participate in a project which will test a Japanese cell phone app for compliance with specified safety guidelines.
To be eligible, interested individuals must meet the following requirements:
• 20-49 years of age
• Native in written and spoken Japanese (Toyo Kanji)
• Experience using a cell phone with apps (maps, music, social media, etc)
• Preference for those with driving experience (in any country)
Total participation time consists of one visit to VTTI, lasting about 1.5 hours. Participants will be asked to complete cell phone tasks using a Japanese version of a cell phone app while seated in a private VTTI office space. Participants will be required to fluently understand, speak, read, and type in both Japanese and English using a cell phone provided by VTTI. The lead researcher is from Japan and will be present during each session.
This project provides compensation of $60 for full participation. Your data will be kept strictly confidential.
