Volunteer vaccine reminder callers sought for Aug. 2 - 6

From: Student Affairs

Virginia Tech is requiring all students to submit proof of their COVID-19 vaccination by Aug. 6. We have a communications plan in full effect, which includes regularly emailing students who are not in compliance. However, to reach as many students as possible by Aug. 6, we are asking for university employees to volunteer to call students and offer a reminder of the requirement. With thousands of students to call, this is an ambitious project, and we need all the help we can get! Every call will make a difference.

We are asking you to provide any time you can spare next week, Aug. 2 - Aug. 6 between 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. to call students and provide a friendly reminder of this requirement. You will be provided a script for the call, as well as answers to FAQs related to vaccination and exemptions. The call list is in Microsoft List and you will have access to a brief training video on how to use the system. You can make calls from your desk or from home.

If you have time to give, please email and you will receive instructions on how to register for shift. You will then receive information on specifics of next steps.  Please know how greatly we appreciate your investment in this project. We realize and recognize the time and effort you continue to give in the face of continued challenges. This is a crucial step in a full Hokie experience this fall, and brings us closer to new normalcy once again.
