COVID-19 vaccination clinic on July 20

From: Hokie Wellness

Hokie Wellness and Virginia Tech Emergency Management are partnering with the New River Health District to offer vaccination clinics in July at the Blacksburg campus.

A clinic will be held Tuesday, July 20, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. in Room 2420 of the North End Center.

Clinics are open to all employees, family and/or friends, and students who may need the vaccine. Registration is required prior to the clinic.

As we prepare for Virginia Tech’s fall semester, employees, including full-time and part-time faculty, staff, and wage, are required to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination after receiving their final dose. Employees should use this site to register their vaccine information: COVID-19 Vaccination Status Self-Reporting form.

Employees who register their vaccine information will be exempt from required COVID-19 surveillance testing during the 2021-22 academic year. The need and frequency of testing for unvaccinated employees will be determined based on the risk an individual’s position presents to the community. Information about the testing program is forthcoming.

Vaccinations will be required for all students attending Virginia Tech in the fall of 2021, with exemptions for medical reasons and sincerely held religious beliefs. Students should upload an image of their COVID-19 vaccination card into the Schiffert online student health portal once they have received their final vaccination. Students must submit their information by Aug. 6 in order to attend classes this fall.
