Hokie Wellness offers a wide range of programs during February. They include:

Feb. 3, 12-12:30 p.m.: Meaning in Your Life: Ways to See It:  Struggling to find meaning in your life? Researchers have identified different pathways to it. Join us for this virtual program and learn more about those pathways. Registration is required.

Feb. 8 and Feb. 23, 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.: Mental Health First Aid: This virtual workshop helps take the fear and hesitation out of starting conversations about mental health and substance use problems by improving understanding and providing an action plan that teaches how to safely and responsibly identify and address a potential mental illness or substance use disorder. Feb. 9 and Feb. 15, 12-1 p.m.: Planning for Baby: This virtual program is for employees who are expecting the birth of a child, or for new parents of a child under three months of age. All expecting and new parents are welcome, including fathers, nonbirth mothers and adoptive parents. Topics to be discussed include benefits, leave, and resources available to new parents. Faculty: Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 12-1 p.m. Registration is required.  Staff: Tuesday, Feb. 15, from 12-1 p.m. Registration is required.

Feb. 10, 12-1 p.m.: Immune Support 101: This virtual program discusses how basic practices, such as healthy nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress management can help support the immune system well. Registration is required.

Feb. 14, 12-1 p.m.: Fall in Love with Credit: Want to develop a healthy and safe relationship with your credit score?  This session will discuss the anatomy of the credit score and offer tips to boost your score in a financially responsible way. Join us for this Valentine's Day-themed virtual session. Registration is required.

Feb. 16, 12-1 p.m.: Resiliency: Self-Care: This virtual session will explore signs of stress and strategies for developing effective and sustainable coping skills. Participants will have the opportunity to assess their current coping skills, learn how to develop work-life balance, and create a realistic self-care plan. Participants will also engage in self-care exercises such as mindfulness. Registration is required.

Feb. 24, 12-12:45 p.m.: Weaving Gratitude into your Week: Research shows that expressing gratitude regularly can have a positive effect on many aspects of your well-being. Learn more during this virtual session. Registration is required.
