And then there were four.

The Virginia Tech women's basketball team will play Louisiana State University at 7 p.m. EDT Friday on ESPN for the first of two games that evening to determine who plays Sunday for the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship. All games will be held in American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas.

This marks the first time the Hokies have reached the Final Four. Head coach Kenny Brooks will meet LSU's head coach Kim Mulkey for the third time in his career. Previous games were once while he was coaching at James Madison University in 2015 and in 2021 with the Hokies. Mulkey was coaching Baylor in both games.

Georgia Amoore, who was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Seattle Regional 3, leads the Hokies at 24 points per game in their four NCAA Tournament games. She has connected on 20 3-pointers in the NCAA Tournament, two shy of breaking the tournament record.

Beginning Friday evening, Burruss Hall on the Blacksburg campus will be illuminated in orange and maroon to celebrate the Hokies and their run to the Final Four. Get details in this notice.
