Harold Eugene Price, retired supervisor of renovations for the Division of Campus Planning, Infrastructure, and Facilities, passed away on Oct. 27. 

Price was born on Dec. 11, 1934, to Robert Carl Price and Ollie Mae Hurst-Price in Pulaski.

He was an esteemed tin smith in the Celanese tin shop, working alongside his father and brother. Price worked for the Division of Campus Planning, Infrastructure, and Facilities until his retirement in 1997.

Price enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, writing poetry, gardening, farming, and working on projects for friends and neighbors in his sheet metal shop. 

A dedicated family man, Price was proud to be married to his wife, Allie Ann, for 65 years and of his children. 

Price was a longtime member of the Pearisburg First United Methodist Church, Triangle Ruritan Club, and the Wabash Odd Fellows Lodge.

Price is survived by his wife; sisters Dorothy Harrell and Wanda “Susie” Stump; sons Timothy Price, Eric Price, and Bucky Burton; daughters Sharon Emory and Christy Frame; grandchildren Vicktorya Emory, Tim “Branch” Price, Jessie Price, Katlyn Burton, Christopher Anderson, Mariah Andrade, Karina Hughes, Shane Frame, Casey Frame, Courtney Frame, Adam Frame; and two great-grandchildren, Sophia Andrade, Christopher Andrade; and many daughters and sons-in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Price is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Bill, Doug, June, Jim, and Jack; and two sisters, Helen Brumfield and Goldie Spaur.
