Tech on Tap: Intelligent Transportation in the D.C. area

What: The Virginia Tech Transportation Institute (VTTI) is on the cutting edge of R&D and implementation of intelligent transportation systems. Many of these life-saving features are vital to cars and trucks you drive today and can be found on roadways across America. Join us for "Tech on Tap" that will take place at the Port City Brewing Company in Alexandria, Va., to learn about initiatives that VTTI is undertaking in the greater Washington, D.C. area and around the commonwealth to bring next-generation transportation systems from test environments to your driveway.

Who: Liz White is the Program and Business Manager for VTTI. She has managed a diverse portfolio of projects and large programs focusing on connected and automated vehicles, micromobility, and vulnerable road users.

Reg Viray is the Technology Implementation Program Manager in the Division of Technology Implementation Research at VTTI. He has over 15 years of experience in the research, development, implementation, operation, maintenance, management, and commercialization of Intelligent Transportation System solutions in both the public and private sectors.
