Reunion Weekend is June 9-12, and online registration is open.

The celebration this summer marks a return to an in-person reunion. Hokie alumni haven’t gathered on campus for Reunion Weekend since 2019.

The four-day weekend will feature dinner, live music, and fireworks on the Drillfield; a downtown takeover; activities for kids; behind-the-scenes athletics facilities tours; a special performance at the Moss Arts Center; and a variety of tours and opportunities to explore campus.

Registration includes access to all scheduled events, including tours and lectures, plus meals, happy hours, and drinks. When you sign up, the weekend is all inclusive.

A full schedule of events is available online.

Reunion Weekend was held virtually the last two years. This year, individual classes and groups marking special milestones will be able to celebrate in-person in Blacksburg.

“Being back on campus and doing the events in person, I can’t wait to find out what fun and new things I am going to learn about,” said Allison Elkins, former president and current board member for the Atlanta Hokies.

“When you come to campus for a visit on your own, you don’t always have access to the people and programs in all colleges and departments. At Reunion Weekend, you can choose different sessions to attend and learn about all of the new research happening and new programs for students that produce the next generation of leaders in all different areas. It is very exciting to get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the programs that most alumni don’t hear about.”

And you don’t have to be marking a milestone anniversary to take part in the fun.

“I have made new friends at every reunion I have attended, all from different class years. We share a passion for Virginia Tech and have a great time hanging out on campus and at all the reunion activities!” said Elkins.

For those who are unable to gather in-person, a virtual option will be available. Registration for the online event will open next month.

Alumni celebrating milestone reunions will have a chance to connect with classmates during Reunion Weekend. There will also be special programming for Cornerstone Alumni, and members of the Class of 1972 will celebrate their induction into the esteemed group.

Early-bird registration is $150 for adults, $50 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and under. Early-bird registration is open for just a little longer, and Hokies who register by March 31 can save up to $45. There is also special pricing for recent graduates from the classes of 2017-2022.
