Corps of Cadets alumnus Maj. Justin Leddon named Richmond game Hokie Hero
Virginia National Guard Maj. Justin Leddon, a 2008 Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets alumnus who earned degrees in German and history from the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences and minors in leadership studies and international studies, as well as a master’s degree in building construction science and management in 2019, was selected as the Hokie Hero for Saturday’s football game against Richmond.
The Hokie Hero program honors corps alumni who are deployed. Recipients are highlighted by Jon Laaser and Mike Burnop during their radio broadcast of Hokie football games, on the Corps of Cadets website, and in the Corps Review alumni magazine.
Leddon is stationed at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, as a member of the 29th Infantry Division. He serves as the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion executive officer, supporting the 29th Infantry Division Staff Headquarters in support of Operation Spartan Shield. This is his third deployment.
