Virginia Tech’s Special Collections has one of the most extensive collections of documents, memorabilia, and personal papers from the Apollo 11 mission, thanks in part to donations from Michael Collins. Collins, the NASA astronaut who was the command module pilot for the Apollo 11 mission to the moon, died April 28 at age 90.
University Libraries public services archivist, Marc Brodsky, curator of the Apollo 11 collection, is available to speak with media outlets about the collection. The collection includes a letter written by Charles Lindbergh to Collins just after completion of the Apollo 11 mission.
