The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly board meeting at 1:15 p.m. Monday, June 3, in the Torgersen Hall Board Room (Room 2100, 620 Drillfield Dr., Blacksburg) on the Blacksburg campus.

During the two days board members are together, the following meetings will be held in Lavery Hall (430 Old Turner St., Blacksburg) unless noted:

On Sunday, June 2, an information session for all board members will be held in open session from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Community Room of Lavery Hall.

On June 3, the Academic, Research, and Student Affairs Committee will meet in closed session at 8:30 a.m. and will be followed by open session at 9 a.m., both in 320 Lavery Hall.

On June 3, the Buildings and Grounds Committee will depart from the Inn at Virginia Tech at 8 a.m. to tour university facilities. At 9:30 a.m., the committee will meet in open session in in 330 Lavery Hall. At 11:15 a.m., the Finance and Resource Management Committee will join Buildings and Grounds in open session in in 340 Lavery Hall.

The Compliance, Audit, and Risk Committee will meet in closed session on June 2 at 9:30 a.m. in 335 Lavery Hall and will meet in open session at 10:30 a.m. in in 350 Lavery Hall.

On June 3, the Executive Committee will meet in closed session at 7 a.m. in the 1872 Salon at the Inn at Virginia Tech (901 Prices Fork Rd, Blacksburg).

The Finance and Resource Management Committee will meet at 8 a.m. on June 3 in closed session in 345 Lavery Hall and in open session at 8:15 in 340 Lavery Hall.

The Governance and Administration Committee will meet June 2 in open session from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. in the Community Room of Lavery Hall.

During the two-day meeting, board members will receive presentations on the Innovation Campus, the Fralin Life Sciences Institute at Virginia Tech, and the Mental Health Task Force, and will consider resolutions on the 2019-20 university budgets; promotions, tenure, and continued appointments; to establish a Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Applications degree program; and to authorize the university to complete four capital construction projects. The board will also elect officers for 2019-20.
