In memoriam: Michael S. Eland, rising sophomore
Michael S. Eland, 19, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly on July 16, 2018. He was a rising sophomore at Virginia Tech, majoring in biological sciences in the College of Science. He was actively involved in Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
Michael was the beloved son of Stephen and Lynda K. (nee Kugel) Eland; loving brother of Lauren and Kristin Eland; dear grandson of Kay and the late Kenneth Eland and Betty and the late Robert Kugel; nephew of Kenneth (Diane) Eland, Beverly (Jaime) Cordero, Karen Bondrowski, Leonard and Glenn (Virginia) Kugel; cousin of Cheryl King, Kenneth, Danielle, and Katheryn Eland, Misty (John) McManus, Sara (Charles) Mullenix, Erik and Ryan (Amanda) Bondrowski, and Cheyanne and Nicole Kugel.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Christ Community Church, 1190 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380 followed by a Life Celebration at 1 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to International Tribal Ministries, goITM.org, would be appreciated.
