Siddharth Hari has been appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics, part of the Virginia Tech College of Science.
Hari’s research focuses on development economics and political economics, particularly in studying the design, implementation, and impact of large-scale public policy programs in developing countries.
Prior to arriving at Virginia Tech, Hari earned a master’s degree from the Delhi School of Economics in New Delhi, India, and doctoral degree from New York University, both in economics.
Hari is one of 22 tenured and tenure-track faculty members to join the College of Science this year.
