Virginia Tech’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions uses a holistic application review process, which goes beyond test scores and grades and includes interests, activities, and personal statements applicants choose to share.

In addition to being a member of the Coalition for Access and Affordability, the undergraduate admission application now has a field to add a link to an applicant’s ZeeMee profile.

“We pride ourselves on the fact that our admissions review process is both personal and approachable. It’s no secret that we value each applicant and take the time to review items they share with us,” said Vice Provost of Enrollment Management and Director of Undergraduate Admissions Mildred R. Johnson.

ZeeMee allows applicants to create multimedia profiles and share videos and images they would like to accompany their college application.

“Digital tools like ZeeMee help us remain relevant and connect with students where they are. When students share their stories with us through their ZeeMee profiles, it helps us connect with them even more during the application review process,” said Johnson. "Our applicants are more than a number to us, they are people and it is our job to get to know them through their application.”

All application deadlines have passed except for the transfer application deadline on Feb. 15.

ZeeMee is greatly honored to partner with Virginia Tech,” said ZeeMee Chief Executive Officer, Juan Jaysingh. “Virginia Tech is an innovative university that is committed to access for all students by empowering applicants to fully express themselves and share their unique narratives. Now in over 150 countries and with thousands joining ZeeMee daily, we are thrilled to provide all students on our platform the opportunity to bring their story to life on their Virginia Tech application.”
