This is the third consecutive year that Blacksburg has been ranked as one of the 25 Best Places to Retire.

The ranking includes more than 500 cities nationwide. Ratings take into consideration financial and economic factors, as well physical security, accessibility to health care, and attributes that encourage an active retirement. praised Blacksburg for its robust economy, walkability, and low crime rate rank, among other factors.

Home to Virginia Tech's main campus and about 44,000 residents, Blacksburg offers the charm of a small town combined with the modern conveniences of a metropolitan area.
