BLACKSBURG — Virginia Tech’s College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences recently launched its redesigned website: www.liberalarts.vt.edu.

The new look creates a site that is user-friendly for prospective and current students, faculty and staff, alumni, and those who would like to learn more about the exceptional scholarship and teaching that takes place in the college.

“The College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences is home to distinctive and rich programs across the arts, humanities, human and social sciences, and education.” said Dean Elizabeth Spiller. “The liberal arts are crucial to Virginia Tech’s success as a comprehensive university, while our programs offer students unique opportunities to benefit from a technologically-agile, research institution.

“Our stories are as varied and inspiring as are our faculty, staff, students, and alumni. This website is designed to capture those stories and the vitality that makes them possible.”

The new responsive design is the first site to be launched in Virginia Tech’s new content management system, Adobe Experience Manager.

In the first phase of the launch, the college and five departments – communicationhistory, human developmentsociology, and political science and international studies – are complete.

The redesign of other college department and program websites will launch in 2016 during the second phase of the project.
