Virginia Tech’s microsite was re-launched this month to highlight how university partners develop highly creative and applied research with commercial advantages.

The site also invites faculty, researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry to explore new collaborative partnerships for innovative discoveries.

“With 14 consecutive years of research growth, Virginia Tech is positioned for success as a research university partner,” said Vice President for Research Robert Walters.

Illustrating Virginia Tech’s “hands-on, minds-on” approach to learning, the microsite showcases both faculty and student research and allows outside entities to explore innovation that can be leveraged for entrepreneurial ventures. In addition, the site explains how easy it is to engage with Virginia Tech, starting with resources such as the Office of Research, the Office of Economic Development, and the Corporate Research Center.

“The university is a key player in bringing innovation to market and has numerous resources to offer to business and researchers alike that will fuel the regional economy,” said John Provo, director of the Office of Economic Development.

The site will be refreshed frequently with news, research developments, and faculty and student profiles.
