Video: Virginia Tech students unite Haitian communities across a dangerous river
The people of Ti Péligre, Haiti, suffered during the rainy season when river waters became impassable – so dangerous that children were swept away trying to get to school. A new bridge designed by Virginia Tech students is a lifesaver.
They raised money to pay local Haitians to build the bridge and took several work trips to oversee construction and labor alongside community members in Ti Péligre.
