The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly board meeting at 1:15 p.m. Monday, June 7, in the Board Room of Torgersen Hall (Room 2100) on the Blacksburg campus.

In addition, the following committee sessions will be held on Monday, June 7:

  • The Academic Affairs Committee will meet in closed session at 8 a.m. and will meet in open session at 8:30 a.m., both meetings will be in the Alumni Executive Board Room in the Holtzman Alumni Center.
  • The Buildings and Grounds Committee will meet in open session at 9 a.m. in Room B at the Graduate Life Center at Donaldson Brown.
  • The Finance and Audit Committee will meet in closed session at 7:30 a.m. in the 1872 Salon and will meet in open session at 8:30 a.m. in the Smithfield Room, both rooms at the Inn at Virginia Tech.
  • The Student Affairs and Athletics Committee will meet in open session at 9 a.m. in Brush Mountain Room B at Squires Student Center.

During meeting, the board will consider resolutions on a new undergraduate degree program in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, a new master’s degree program in Material Culture and Public Humanities, and the 2010-11 university budget.
