The fourth performance of the Musica Viva 2007-2008 concert series, A Romantic Affair: Music of Schumann and Brahms will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. at the Squires Recital Salon at Virginia Tech.

Musicians for the concert include Teresa Ehrlich, piano; David Ehrlich, violin; Benjamin Wyatt, cello; members of the Avanti Ensemble with guest soloist, Paul Coletti. Coletti has performed throughout the world, making major appearances at the Edinburgh Festival, the Sydney Opera House, and London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall. He is now head of chamber music and professor of viola at the Univeristy of California at Los Angeles.

Tickets are available at the price of $18 for adults, $8 for students with a valid Hokie Passport and $5 for students under 18 years old. Tickets can be purchased at the University Unions and Student Activities ticket office or at Musica Viva online. A limited number of tickets may be available at the Squires Recital Salon before the performance.

Musica Viva is a not-for-profit organization created in recognition that access to the arts, in their many manifestations, is universally cited as central to the quality of life in a community. Organization members strive to promote awareness and appreciation for chamber music and the arts in general. The 2007-2008 season marks the seventh year that Musica Viva has been providing chamber music performances by internationally-acclaimed musicians collaborating with professional musicians in the New River Valley.
