Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine's Blair Meldrum received Distinguished Teacher Award

Dr. Blair Meldrum, a professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology in the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech, recently received Carl J. Norden Distinguished Teacher Award during the college's 24th annual awards program.

Sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health, this national award honors faculty members who have displayed outstanding teaching ability.

Meldrum, who also serves as the coordinator of the college’s diagnostic toxicology laboratory, received his D.V.M. and Ph.D. from the University of Saskatchewan. Prior to coming to Virginia Tech in 1980, Meldrum was the acting director of the animal pathology laboratory for the Canada Department of Agriculture in Saskatchewan.

The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VMRCVM) is a two-state, three-campus professional school operated by the land-grant universities of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg and the University of Maryland at College Park.
